Dengue Cases: 69 Cases Reported In 24 Hours In Chandigarh

Dengue cases are on rise in various states of the country this monsoon season. Chandigarh has reported six more dengue cases in the last 24 hours; the total tally is now 69 in the city. According to reports, patients who have been put in isolation in GMSH-16 is allegedly being neglected. Hospitals have kept both patients of fever and dengue together and the emergency doctors are unable to keep patients protected under the mosquito net because of lack of space.

Lucknow city has also become a hotspot for dengue fever as the region recently reported 60 cases. Since January, the city has recorded a total of 660 cases of dengue fever, 414 cases of malaria and 60 cases of chikungunya. Recently, Lucknow also reported five malaria and four Chikungunya cases also.

In Lucknow, the health ministry reportedly conducted a survey of 1353 houses in an attempt to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds. The also conducted anti-larva spraying. Among the houses that were surveyed, 12 of them were issued notices.

Bhopal also reported increase in dengue cases. According to the health department, 359 dengue cases and 114 chikungunya cases were reported recently from Bhopal and adjoining areas Kolar and Bairagarh.
